I have to admit to being a Safari convert. I now have my default browser set to Safari and use Firefox as a backup in a couple of situations.
- when I need to use firebug
- for a few administration sites which work best with Firefox
But, there are a few things that I needed to make this decision … I’ve already posted the primary tricks to force Safari to open new pages in tabs, and to always show the tab bar.
Now, here’s the final tab enhancement, which is also seriously influenced by the Firefox ability to start a new session by reloading the tabs open when the last session ended.
As far as I know, it is not possible to force Safari to open the previous session’s tabs automatically. However, you can manually achieve the desired effect
If Safari has crashed on you, or you accidentally closed your browser, fear not. You can easily restore your previous browsing session, including all tabs that were open at the time.
- Open Safari.
- Go to the menu.
- Select History and select Reopen All Windows From Last Session
